Mushroom Development Centre under SHN was established in the year 1999 with the objective of spawn production and technology refinement and also to give training to the farmers for cultivation of different mushrooms.

Activities performed during 2017-18

• Trials and demonstration on cultivation of a new mushroom Carnicoby (Yellow mushroom) has been conducted successfully.
• Trainings to different colleges and universities for their RAWE programme/Project/Internship have been conducted so far.A total of 54 students have been imparted training on different aspect of mushroom production.
• Participated in Agri Trade Expo, Hornbill exhibition cum sale of our products like fresh mushroom, dry mushroom and ready-made cylinder bags.
• Production and supply of spawn to growers.
